If you would like to set up an author visit,

please send me a message!

Please read below this form to see what is

included in an author visit.

Please include the grade level of your class or age

of the children I will be presenting to. 

​

Prices starting at $125 for a classroom visit.

Discounts offered for $210 if two or more classes schedule for the same day.

A Little About Me

  • I have been an elementary school teacher! 

  • I am a mother! I have spent the last 25+ years raising my four children. 

  • I've also been in charge of running and teaching large children's organizations in church.

  • Teaching kids is where my heart truly lies.

  • I'm looking forward to reading with your group! 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE AUTHOR VISIT?

Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade

  • Introduction to an author

  • Read It Just Blooms and What If We Had a Pet Shark?

  • Discussion with the children about the lessons from the story

  • Movement activity to illustrate uniqueness & differences

  • Art or writing activity for the children 

  • Ask the Author Q & A

  • Approximately 30-45 minutes - depending on age group 

3rd, 4th and 5th Grade

  • Introduction to an author  

  • Read It Just Blooms and What If We Had a Pet Shark?

  • Discussion with the children about the lessons from the story

  • Movement activity to illustrate uniqueness & differences - 3rd & 4th graders

  • Ask the Author Q & A

  • Pick one or two of the activities listed below based on age and time: 

  • Art or writing activity for the children

  • Discussion about the writing process if desired - with my binder full of rough drafts, edits, final drafts, etc.

  • Approximately 45 minutes - depending on age group 

Pre-School

  • Introduction to an author  

  • Read... It Just Blooms and/or What If We Had a Pet Shark?

  • Discussion with the children following the story 

  • Movement activity

  • Coloring or art activity for the children

  • Short Author Q & A  - if time allows 

  • Approximately 30 minutes
